General Atomics and Affiliated Companies Senior SAP Security Administrator in San Diego, California

With only general direction, this position is responsible for developing, optimizing, and administering security controls to prevent unauthorized access, modification, and/or unauthorized disclosure of company information.

Develops programs and processes to ensure security protocols are not compromised.

Participates in developing and administering security policies to control access to systems and ensures they are integrated with company policies and standards.

May function in an advisory role providing direction and education to professional or technical staff and may participate with management in short- and long-term planning.

May make recommendations to purchase hardware and software to enhance security capabilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in developing, optimizing, and administering security policies.

  • Participates in planning, development, and implementation of security solutions based on new technology.

  • Supports SAP Security design and construction phases of a system and/or upgrade project and participates in gathering functional requirements.

  • Analyzes and implements SAP Security solutions and resolution of implementation issues.

  • Works with cross functional stake holders for requirement analysis, security design, development, testing, operational tasks and manages several key SAP Security deliverables.

  • Supports SAP Security Audits and compliance requests.

  • Prepares SAP Security training materials and job aids and provides SAP Security training on SAP projects.

  • Provides information security awareness training to employees, contractors, and other third parties.

  • May functions in a leadership role to less experienced professional staff.

  • May be the primary contact with suppliers and vendors while conducting research and evaluation of security products.

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

  • Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or as required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline and eight or more years of progressive professional security administration experience in an information technology department. Equivalent professional experience in corporate information technology security may be substituted in lieu of education.

  • Must demonstrate a complete understanding of SAP Security development principles, concepts, and techniques, and must have organizational skills such as planning, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.

  • Extensive experience with SAP Authorization concept, SAP Role management and IT Change control processes over operational and implementation lifecycles

  • Experience with Security implementation on ECC, BW, GRC, Fiori and Solution Manager involving ABAP and JAVA platforms.

  • Experience in GRC 10.1 Access Request Management, Access Risk Analysis, Emergency Access Management, User Access Review, GRC Workflow configuration

  • Experience with Segregation of Duties analysis and resolution

  • Knowledge of S4 HANA Security

  • Must be customer focused and possess: (1) the ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of problems; (2) excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings; (3) excellent interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with others; (4) the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information; and (5) excellent computer skills.

  • Must be able to understand new concepts quickly, contribute to the development of new processes, and resolve complex technical matters.

  • Must have project management skills including organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
