The charter of the Quality Process and Tech Support department is to align GA’s Quality automated and non-automated business processes to our business strategies in order to achieve targeted results. Specifically, the department is responsible for: (1) Product/Process Assurance; (2) Quality Analytics; (3) Continuous Improvements within the GA-ASI Quality and OpEx Department.

This position reports directly to the Sr. Manager of the Quality Process and Tech Support department and requires a strong technical background with the desire to engage cross-functional teams to define, innovate, manage, and optimize Quality processes at GA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Investigate quality topics using stakeholder input and data to formulate clear, concise problem definitions and recommendations.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and non-direct-reporting teams to develop and execute improvement plans.

  • Collect and analyze raw data from various information systems to identify improvement opportunities and key metrics for tracking.

  • Lead projects that improves the Quality organization.

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company; expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related discipline and six or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or four or more years with a master's degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification plus demonstrated experience preferred

  • Knowledge of GA-ASI organizations, processes, and products preferred

  • Must be proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio. Knowledge of statistical techniques and software such as MiniTab is preferred

  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present, influence and collaborate at the leadership level

  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills and excel in analyzing relevant and essential facts

  • Must be able to multi-task and adapt to a quick changing environment

  • Must display eagerness to investigate and the ability to make sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems by effectively weighing risks, uncertainties, and assumptions
