We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Supervisor to join our System Integration Lab Software Group.

This position is responsible for leading and actively participating in one or more planning function(s), which may include material planning, project planning and/or master scheduling. Plans, leads and participates in planning activities to ensure smooth flow of work and continuous operation.


  • Leads and actively participates in the daily operations of planning activities by prioritizing and scheduling work assignments.

  • Establishes proposal, task and program/project scheduling details. Monitors and analyzes schedule performance to ensure on-time completion.

  • Interfaces with program engineers, project control, materials management, and/or related personnel to ensure project objectives such as budget, schedule and performance standards are attained.May represent the organizational unit as a contact with internal and external representatives; makes internal and external presentations as required.

  • Participates in the planning, attraction, selection, retention and development of human resources to ensure the availability of the required talent.

  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Other duties as assigned or required.

  • Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

  • Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

  • Understanding of scheduling methods for production and development tests

  • Previous experience with project cost analysis methods and reports

  • Understanding of various SAP methods of creating, tracking, and providing status for procurement activities

  • Proficient with MS Office, Sharepoint, and SAP

  • Proficient with PET, MAP/MCCI (preferred)


Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelors degree in a related field and six or more years of progressive experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

  • Must have a good understanding of planning concepts, techniques and standards.

  • Must be able to organize, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads and staff to meet established milestones.

  • Must understand the principles of IMS planning and scheduling as well as the concept of ERP/MRP systems with responsibility for ensuring inter-connects between the two are aligned to support program execution.

  • Must be customer focused and possess:

  • The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of issues;

  • Good analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings to a variety of audiences;

  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees;

  • The ability to represent the company on external projects;

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Ability to work on a self-initiated basis and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
