We have an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Training Developer to support our Product Support Engineering group at GA-ASI.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, this position supports Product Support Engineering and is responsible for designing, developing and coordinating curriculum and training programs for operational users, maintainers or customers in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, technical orders and procedures and military regulations.
Develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
Designs, develops and coordinates curriculum; conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
Develops training plans and schedules; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
Develops and administers student examinations; continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
Maintains completion records on trained personnel.
Coordinates training program with customer and/or contractor personnel; standardizes user training with technical manuals and other aspects of integrated logistics support.
Provide Quality Assurance checks of final products and deliverables.
Coordinates the conduct of training events and obtain customer feedback.
Typically requires education or training equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in a related field and six or more years experience designing, developing and administering training programs.
Must have an extensive understanding of division/subsidiary/affiliate product(s) and the ability to read, analyze, interpret, understand, and integrate technical writing source material into training curriculum.
Knowledge of Arbortext Epic Editor, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Adobe Illustrator, Visio, and other applications, including interactive manuals and desktop publishing.
Military training experiences a plus.
Must have a complete understanding of division/subsidiary/affiliate product(s) and the ability to read, understand, and integrate technical writing source material into training curriculum.
Must possess the ability to provide leadership in developing and communicating new concepts; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate multiple work phases; determine the appropriate approach at the task or project level; and have experience demonstrating a broad application of training practices, techniques, and standards.
Must be customer focused and possess:

Strong verbal and written communication and presentations skills to accurately train, document, and report findings to a variety of audiences
Strong interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, senior managers and customers
The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
May require the ability to obtain a security clearance
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
