Duties and Responsibilities:
Determines project requirements and presents drafts of finished product to marketing/sales teams.
Ensures there is high quality of output and compatibility of product with follow-on reproduction processes.
May assist with design layouts; coordinating editorial illustrations; and, creating artwork for publication. Collaborates with internal team to ensure compliance with customer proposal format requirements.
Edits material for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Maintains electronic and physical files for all publication material.
Maintains up to date desktop publishing skills including integrating text and graphics and publishing on the web.
Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments and/or representing outside organizations.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating practices and procedures.
Typically requires a High School diploma and four or more years of progressive experience in desktop publishing/word processing in a commercial or government organization or a related field. Equivalent additional work experience in publishing/word processing may be substituted in lieu of education.

Must demonstrate the ability to use a PC or MAC computer to transcribe text, tables, figures, and forms; and, have a complete understanding of applicable software such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator as well as experience demonstrating the effective use of the software.
Must possess the ability to organize, schedule, meet established timelines, and coordinate multiple work phases; determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level; and, provide solutions to a variety of complex publishing/word processing problems.
Must be able to communicate and interface effectively with all levels of professional staff, including management, interpret and explain complex information, establish priorities, and respond to complex issues or situations that require evaluation and interpretation, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Able to work extended hours as required.
