  • Investigate incidents and conducts relentless root cause analysis to identify and determine root causes of non-compliant processes as well as causes of quality defects.

  • Ability to collect and analyze data to resolve problems using common techniques (FMEA, 5-Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, etc.), and implement effective corrective action.

  • Ensure corrective actions are executed to correct root causes of quality problems.

  • Use standard Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma program tools and methods (value stream maps, spaghetti charts, takt time, etc.) and execute continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology that support the company business and functions.

  • Facilitate continuous improvement through use of, and through training others to use, all tools available.

  • Participate in and/or lead teams formed to effect significant change in quality, business or manufacturing processes

  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality standards are in place

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires a review of identifiable factors.

  • Interprets and adapts to quality standards and government regulations.

  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

  • Participates in functional testing and/or inspection of equipment and systems.

  • Participates in program and process improvement activities

  • Familiarity with an AS9100 system.

  • May interface with Customer representatives.

  • Must be a team player who works effectively with others.

  • Must have effective communication skills (written and verbal) and strong technical skills.

  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics is a requirement. Able to work extended hours as required.

  • Understands the Material Review Board decision process.

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related discipline and five or more years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or three or more years with a master's degree. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

  • Six Sigma Certification preferred with a minimum 2 years’ experience in the Aerospace Industry

  • Must have the ability to integrate Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma across all levels of business to influence change

  • Manufacturing or quality background in aviation is with an ASQ certification is preferred.

  • Must be able to demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance approaches and tools, including strategic analysis of manufacturing, quality and production issues using Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA).

  • Must be able to apply a detailed understanding of inspection methods and have strong knowledge of computer operations and applications.

  • Must have a strong knowledge of concepts, techniques, and methods in quality management systems.

  • Must have the analytical ability required to develop creative solutions to complex quality issues and the skills required to present those solutions to internal and external contacts.

  • Must be detail-oriented to accurately prepare statistical reports and technical documents in support of company objectives.

  • Able to deliver effective technical presentations and work extended hours as required.
